Transitions, I categorize it myself as an in between movement.
Transitions are one of the most important concepts during a performance because
it makes the dance look fluid, complex but beautiful. The in between movements
are more important than the shapes at the end because the in between movements
form and follow the shapes. Without the in between movements there would be no
quality in a performance.
My weaknesses would be depending on the rhythm of the music and
the intensity of the steps. Sometimes if the choreography is done in allegro
andante is harder to do the clean steps, organized and at the same time make
them look simple to the audience. My strength would be that I try to go far,
beyond the walls every time I end up doing a movement; even if it is only
moving an arm or head to the side, etc. I look at dance in a chair with my head dancing to the movements every
time I watch a performance and that is also what I try to make the audience
feel like too. A transitory movement that is very important to my skills would
be the changing of levels and the ability to travel making bigger steps since I
am a very small dancer. Another very important transitory movement is the shift
of the pelvis, weight and also more plies to jump and turn.
